On Sunday, we enjoyed the nice weather and went outside on a little bike tour and hike to the Heslach waterfalls.Who would have thought that we have such a nice spot right in our backyard. So we took our bikes and rode to the Waldheim Heslach. As soon as we got there we got some ice cream and sat in the sun (the kids enjoyed it the most.) After that, we went on our little hike/walk on gravel roads through the wood.
At first even Noam was walking. But you know how it is with a 1 1/2 year old. Either they stop all the time to collect some stones or they wander off in the wrong direction… We would have never made it to our destination. So after 500 meters I decided to carry him on my back in the Ergobaby carrier.
After 1.7 km we arrived at the waterfall. Thank God I used the komoot app. Otherwise I wouldn’t have known that you can go down the gorge and up the hill again on the other side. Of course you can’t compare it with the Urach waterfalls, but it’s a neat little place and it’s worth a visit.
The tour is 3,31 km in total and no problem at all for a 3 year old. At the end of our tour we got some dinner at the Waldheim, too. They have a playground right next to the dining area, which is perfekt for watching the kids play. This is also were we found Noam’s Doppelganger. The kid looked just like him. Even Nate confused him for his brother. He started calling him Noam and was irritated when the kid didn’t respond and ran away. He ran to us shouting that Noam ran away… (I showed him that Noam was still sitting on my back. That blew his mind. ;-))
