Since last week Friday we are in Langenargen at the Lake of Constance. Unfortunately it was a rainy week which made it hard for us to find an appropriate program for our little ones. When the weather is good you can do a lot here. But when it rains it’s a little bit more difficult to find something you can do and even more so if you have little kids that don’t like museums. But I think we made the most out of it.
Last Saturday it rained the whole day. That’s why we decided to go to an Indoor playground called Lufti. This one was so much fun. Not only for the kids but also for us. On Sunday we went to the Pfänder. We were lucky that it didn’t rain that morning and took the cabin up the hill. Up there we walked the loop trail. It was just the right distance for Nate to walk on his own. At the top of the peak he then got his reward in the form of Kaiserschmarrn.
On Monday we went to the Haustierhof Reutemühle. They had hundreds of animals. We were even able to pet and feed some of them. Nate definitely didn’t get bored there.
On Tuesday it rained the whole day again. We made the most out of it and went to the Schwabentherme in Aulendorf. This swimming pool really is family friendly with slides, huge kiddy pool, nursing room and so on. We can highly recommend it. And because it was off season we sometimes even had the pools completely to ourselves.
Yesterday we wanted to ride our bikes. The tour was 25 miles long and we went from Langenargen to the Schleinsee, Degersee, Muttelsee to Lindau and then back to Langenargen. Unfortunately at the beginning of our tour Mike had a flat tire so we had to stop and fix it. Thank God we had already bought some tubes and a repair set before our vacation and brought it on our tour. What we couldn’t fix was the electronics on Mikes bike that stopped working 3 miles before we arrived back home. We had no choice but to hitch the trailer to my bike, cause he didn’t have any power to support him anymore. In the afternoon Mike’s brother Joe with his fiancée came by to see us.
There’s one good thing about this unstable weather. Here at the lake, the lighting and the sky were different every day, but always awesome.
