Today our journey into the Southwest begins. We’re leaving the coast with mixed feelings. It was great to be right at the beach, to see so many things around here and to meet up with the Salaris almost every day. I think even Nate is gonna miss his godparents. They became a big part of his life and he loved spending time with them (and their cats 😊). Fortunately we will see them again next weekend, when they join us on one of the campgrounds. But of course we are also looking forward to the many nice places we’re going to see next.
A few words about the last couple of days: On Saturday we went to the Baby Beach a little bit up the north right at the harbor of Dana Point. Because of the harbor there are no waves and stones and it is flat making it easy to walk into the water. It’s perfect for the little ones to play in the sand. For the evening we went to a fish restaurant right next to the beach with a great view of the harbor. It was a insider tip from Reza, who worked there as a waiter himself. The fish was awesome. It was one of the best fish we ever had.
We also wanted to get some stuff for our trip before we leave. That’s why we went to Target for a quick grocery run on Sunday. They have the most awesome shopping carts I’ve ever seen. Nate enjoyed sitting next to Noam so much. I wish we had something like this in Germany.
