Since it has been way too long that we went outside for a walk we decided that we wanted to go somewhere after church. The question was just, where? I found many outside places that looked interesting enough for our two boys but guess what – they are closed, because of Corona. And a “normal” walk through the woods is just not exciting enough.
So after church we decided that we would go to the Sulzburghof in Lenningen. This is a Café in which you can (under normal conditions) drink a coffee, get a piece of one of their many many homemade cakes and pies, have lunch or have breakfast. Right now you can take all the things listed above to go or buy something in their Hofladen. We decided to get their super yummy bread. (If you’re in the area, stop by. It’s totally worth it)
After that we went on a walk to the nearby castle ruins of Sulzburg. All in all it’s not more than a 2 km trail. You go up on one side of the hill and then down on the other side. But it was just enough to get all that energy out of my two boys. And of course there’s so much to explore in a castle ruin and the snow also helped to get them excited enough.
On our way back we passed a food truck that sold poffertjes (little mini pancakes). Of course we had to stop there and get some.
