On our last day, the kids woke us up pretty early in the morning. That’s why we spontaneously decided to go to the Leutascher Geisterklamm. The weather forecast said it would start raining at noon. So we had plenty of time to do this 4,7 km hike. We started at the parking space Leutasch and walked to the gorge.

When it started to get steeper, Nate had to sit back into his child carrier. But overall the path is really easy and child friendly. They even installed a couple of things that you could touch like a wind chime, a gong, so that the kids don’t get too bored.

First we went on the Klammgeistweg to the Panorama bridge and after that on the goblin path to the entrance of the waterfall path. That’s where we took a short break. As soon as we packed our things we found out that we had lost Noam’s binky chain. We were really sad about it especially because it was a gift and we didn’t bring any extra ones. Michael even went up all the way that we came from but he couldn’t find it. After a quick prayer, that someone would find it and bring it to the restaurant at the beginning of our tour, we went to the waterfall.

We actually wanted to take another, less steep, way back than the one we took coming to the waterfall. But we were still hoping to find the chain, so we didn’t really have a choice but to take the switchbacks up the hill again. But to no avail, we searched and searched but it was nowhere to be found. I gave up finding the chain. We had almost reached the end of the gorge, when Michael started shouting: There it is! Someone had actually found it and pinned it onto the railings! Praise God! We (and Noam of course) were really happy to have it back.

In the afternoon it rained as predicted. Because we had a Mittenwald guest card we decided to go to the Albspitz Wellenbad in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, as the guest card granted us free entry to the pool. It was the perfect thing to do on a rainy afternoon. And our boys loved it.
