Today we decided to go for a little bike tour near T\u00fcbingen, Ammerbuch to be precise. Since Noam has just learned how to ride his first proper bike we thought it was time for his first real bike tour (at this point we didn\u2019t know yet how this would end 🤪)<\/p>\n

We started at a hiking parking site and rode right into the forest, the complete loop was 4.8 miles. The first hill did not pose any problems for Mum & Dad on their Bosch powered bikes, even Nate seemed unfazed, his new bike with proper gears really helping him to reach the top. Alas, our little one needed quite a few breaks, pushes and (most importantly) gummy bears to bribe him every few meters 😉. But we did make it somehow.<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter we arrived at the \u201eSequoia National Park of Germany\u201c, with a few huge Redwood trees. But before you get to excited – the original one<\/a> in the US is a bit more impressive.<\/p>\n

Our way back to the car then turned out to be the biggest challenge for us. Later in the car I casually told Mike that this challenging part of the way had been marked as \u201eS1\u201c in our Komoot App. Unbeknownst to me (but of course blatantly obvious to Mike, as he proceeded to tell me) \u201eS1\u201c is the classification for an easy single trail – but definitely neither easy nor suitable for a 3 year old 🙈<\/p>\n

I guess by now you know how our descent looked like. Mike was annoyed that he couldn\u2019t push his bike to the limit and race down and I was annoyed that the Kids were making such a big fuss to even push their bikes down 🙄🤣 (\u201eThis is dangerous!!!!!!\u201c, quote Nate).<\/p>\n

But (as we also later learned) this was indeed the only way down, so after much stopping, pushing, screaming and crying we somehow made it down 😅. And in the process we had just experienced another adventure we wouldn\u2019t quickly forget.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
