Around noon we headed to the Joshua Tree National Park. Before we left we had to load our washing machine. 😊<\/p>\n

After a quick lunch stop at Lake Elsinore we hit the road again and 2,5 h later we arrived at our final stop for this day: the Indian Cove campground at the edge of the Joshua Tree NP.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Just as we were about to drive on the campground we saw the first part of our welcoming committee: a snake. Disturbed by the sound of our V10 engine it quickly slithered from the warm road to a nearby bush. We had been warned that we should expect a lot of snakes due to the heavy rainfalls earlier this year. Just in case we got an anti snake bite kit. Here’s hoping we’ll never actually need it.\u00a0The campground itself was beautiful except for our site – it was so uneven that we had a really hard time leveling the RV. Even with the leveling blocks our RV still felt like a ship on high seas.<\/p>\n

That’s why, on the next morning, we decided to move to another campsite and get one of the highly coveted campsites inside the Joshua Tree.<\/p>\n

Those are first come first serve that’s why you have to be there early. We got lucky and found a beautiful\u00a0campsite for our RV. I think we’ll spend the next 2 nights there.<\/p>\n

Right after we arrived we had some lunch at our picknick table. That’s when all the squirrels came out of hiding, hoping that they might get some leftovers of our food. Nate had a lot of fun watching them. In the afternoon when it’s not so hot anymore we might explore the area a bit.<\/p>\n
