The last days have been really eventful. Last Sunday we got to enjoy a delicious meal again. We had Surf & Turf. The prawns were so fresh, that they were still alive when they touched the grill. Nate even became friends with them, before we ate them.\u00a0😜<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On Monday we went to a\u00a0petting zoo in our area. Nate got a basket with fruits and veggies in it. He couldn’t get enough of the animals. You could even go into the enclosure of\u00a0the guinea pigs. We felt like the pied piper when about\u00a020 animals came and started crawling around and on us. Nate loved every minute of it (except when the guinea pigs fled from him \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On Tuesday we had to leave our campsite. Unfortunately our first site\u00a0wasn’t available for the whole 2 weeks of our stay, so\u00a0we had to move\u00a0two sites to the right.\u00a0Because our greywater tank was full we had\u00a0to go to the dump station and empty it. But unfortunately\u00a0the\u00a0dump station at our campground was under construction. When I asked the construction worker how long it\u00a0would\u00a0be closed and where the other one was, they just stared at me. That’s when I realized that\u00a0they didn’t understand a word I was saying cause they were Mexicans and all they could speak was Spanish. With the\u00a0few Spanish words that I still remembered\u00a0from school I learned\u00a0that it\u00a0would\u00a0be reopened again tonight or „ma\u00f1ana“ (which means tomorrow). But if you know the spanisch „ma\u00f1ana“, you know that this isn’t realistic at all. Since we already knew what it really meant, we decided to go to another campground to dump our grey water tank. It was easier than we thought. At night the Salaris came over for a BBQ and a bonfire where we had S’mores (unfortunately we forgot to buy the cookies for it, so we have to do it again).<\/p>\n

On Wednesday we went to the San Diego Zoo. Because there was so much traffic on the highway we decided to drive along the coast. Which was a little bit longer at the end, but the view made it worth our while.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After that we had to go to a local brewery which was (kind of) on our way. That’s where we had our late lunch and something refreshing with it.\u00a0😊🍺<\/p>\n

Today we went on a long journey to the pie company called Julian. Only because of their world’s best apple pie. (The way there is also not that bad). It took us almost 2 hours. On our way there is\u00a0the headquarter of Stone, a Sand Diego brewery. Maybe some of you have heard of it. They opened their first European branch\u00a0in Berlin last year. And because we went to their opening in Berlin, we also had to see their place in San Diego. We went there to have lunch and after that we headed\u00a0to the pie company. Of course you can also buy their pie there, either frozen or already baked. We couldn’t help ourselves and just had to take one for our trip. After this we headed home again.<\/p>\n
